Deborah E. Battrum, BSc, DDS, MScD, FRCD
Dr. Battrum completed Dentistry at University of Toronto in 1979. She practised general dentistry in small towns in B.C., then completed a Masters degree in Dental Science at University of British Columbia in 1985. Subsequently she practised geriatric, and special needs dentistry at University Hospital and Shaugnessy Hospital in Vancouver. During that time she was also Chair Health Sciences at Vancouver Community College and taught undergraduate anaesthesia and sedation to dental students at UBC.
She graduated from Endodontics, at Baylor College of Dentistry in Texas in 1995, then returned to the okanagan Valley to practise. She became president of the B.C. Dental Association and served on the board of the Canadian Dental Association. She was for many years an examiner for the Royal College of Dentists of [COUNTY], and council member for Endodontics of the RCDC.
She currently enjoys private endodontic practice with business partner Dr. Richard Leung in Kelowna and Vernon.
Her spare time is spent with the many horses on her farm Apple Flats and taking care of the rescue horses of Old Friends [COUNTY] Society, which she founded.
